Jesus the knowledge bank

Ever wondered if you were making the right decision? Ask God

Ever wondered if you were in the right relationship? Ask God

Ever had issues on the job? Guess who you can ask about it....God

Ever had a hard essay to compose? Guess who can inspire you....you got it...God!!!

Yea I'm struggling with an essay right now. Look how easy it is to write this blog, I don't even have to pause to think!! Grrr. I think its time for me to tap into God for a few, seek him and ask for Him to lift up a standard in my life right now. I need an influx of understanding and wisdom right about now!!! After all this is the really the only way I see that can help me now.

Lord I need you right now to touch my mind, Lord give me the words to put in that essay, I trust you, and I know that you CANNOT fail because you are the one true God that holds the power of the world in your hand. And since I have you in me, I can't fail with you now can I? I also need an influx of faith at this time, because without faith its impossible to please you. You don't  make mistakes, you are absolutely perfect Lord and so I put my trust in you because I know you have the power to see me through. Whatever is preventing me from doing this essay, I pray that you'll remove it, even temporarily. Remove doubt from my mind and help me to complete this and get a spectacular grade too. I love you Lord and I bless your holy name.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!

Known

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psa 139:23-24

Friends, David wrote a very profound thing in this scripture. In here I see a man crying out to his creator "Search me, O God, and make love (unify yourself, become intimate with) my heart: try me (test me, push me) and become intimate with my mind." The word "know" often indicated an intimate act in marriage, consummating a couple into the one flesh of a married couple.

David was wanting God to expose his very soul, make him naked if you will, and learn everything about him. We as Christians are to follow after the Spirit and not after the flesh. The knowledge God wants us to have and wants to have of us is found in our hearts and minds. Yet, in this world so many couples struggle because they "shack up", having sexual relationships before the heart and mind are known. But GOD wants the body to follow AFTER the heart and mind. He wants to get to know you, and to develop the life-long relationship that can only happen after each member of the union studies and learns of the other.

Today we urge you to consider your relationship with God. Have you truly become ONE with him? Are you just flirting with God, holding back the most intimate part of yourself from him, while hoping he comes through for you? Go deep, as David has, and ask God to KNOW you. Ask him to make love (to unify and become ONE) with your mind and heart. When you do, we promise that a new level of awareness will take place and you will no longer "play house", you will become a HOUSEHOLD of God.

With friends like these courtesy of Mark Neddeau

Psa 55:12-14 For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it]: neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him: but [it was] thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked unto the house of God in company.

Friends, it is not unusual to read in Psalms the cry of a wounded heart who was hurt not by an enemy, but by a friend. It is only a friend who can get so close to you as to hurt you that badly. The heart of a friend is one held in confidence and so we give our hearts in return. Unfortunately, we find times when our friends let us down, wound us, or worse. But I call your attention to these verses for one reason in particular.

David was decrying his situation, but was also crying out to his God. His wounds and circumstance led him to lean upon God even harder, seeking justice and vengence from God, but not himself. Can we take a page from that prayer? Can we learn not to seek revenge, or to pick up the telephone and tell our wounding friend just where their friendship has ended? Does your wound drive you to the great physician, and thus into greater LOVE, PEACE AND JOY, or does it drive you into despair and anger and vengence? God promised HE would meet that need in your life and that vengence was HIS. He promised that you would be held up, but not that you would never be wounded and even damaged by your friensd. Don't let it hold you down my friend. Don't let it be your end, and your dwelling place. Let the wound you have received be the springboard into a whole new conversation with God. Cry out to him yes. Let him know your hurt yes. But do not DWELL IN IT. Let God lift you out. David came out. Verses 22 and 23 tell you their end and YOURS TOO! Praise God and let friends like that find their own end.

Prayer can turn any situation in your favour

So last Monday my aunt discovered that she had multiple lumps in her right breast. So she rushed to the doctor and they said they had to take them out by Saturday (yesterday) to test them for cancer :S. I was soooooo shocked to hear, as in these lumps just appeared on Monday out of nowhere. I went to see her today. She was in sooo much pain though, and since her surgery yesterday afternoon she has not slept. We later found out that it was a side effect of her medication, but she has no choice, she has to take it. She told me that the lumps were sent to the lab to be tested and she should receive the results this week.

Anyways, I belong to family of  prayer warriors so I know Jesus has heard us and has answered our prayers so there's no need to worry. Can I get an Amen?! Jesus is alive and well and there is nothing in this world that He doesn't know, and He knows the desires of our hearts.

It is done!! Her healing is underway!

He Is Nearer Than You Think.

So we see where life is getting harder and harder everyday. Items that were once cheap are now very costly, we see that nowhere is safe anymore because crime has gotten out of hand, earthquakes and storms are affecting regions scientists thought would never be affected all this tells us that the coming of the Lord is near…nearer than we think. This is not a message to scare anybody, but its the plain truth and it is quite obvious!! I’ve said it before and I must say it again, but we MUST put off those things that displease the Lord; we know they are wrong and we still continue to do them. God is truly a merciful God because many of us have done some terrible things but Jesus, full of mercy and grace over and over again, has given us chances…and guess what, we’ve succeeded in blowing our chances. I often wonder how the Lord feels, walking in His shoes I’d be frustrated and looking through His eyes I’d be frustrated to see some of the grievous things mankind partake in.
Jesus however has made a way to see to it that after all this struggling we’ll have eternal joy and peace in that place He has prepared for us. But seeing that He made a sacrifice and gave His life for us, so should we. We should be willing to give our all to Him. Friends, give Jesus a try!! Give Him a try and watch Him work wonders in your life. It’s good to be saved and sanctified. But being saved does not take place at once. What are the steps to being saved? They are outlined in Acts 2:38 – short and easily understood.
1) Repent of your sins; Confess all your sins to the Lord…You must mean it.
2) Get baptized in Jesus' name- Like Christ was buried so should we…We must be “buried” under water in order for our sins to be washed away.
3) We must then seek the Holy Ghost- it was promised to us. Not long after baptism if we are fervent we shall receive the Holy Ghost which signifies the resurrection(New Life). When we have the Holy Ghost we have power, confidence, joy among many other wonderful things.
4) Live a righteous life- Oh yes its inevitable that we live Holy lives, as without holiness no man shall see God. We must put away the lust of the eye, pleasures of this world and turn our eyes upon the Lord.
Follow these steps brethren and I can guarantee you, that all the troubles of this world….will be worth it after all because we will then have the blessed assurance that we’ll be in Heaven just after this phase.
